A short history of orgonite as a craft

Orgonite as a craft grew from the ideas of the psychoanalyst Wilhelm Reich in the mid-twentieth century, and from a community of makers who, from the early 2000s, began mixing resin, metal and crystal in moulds.
It is important to be honest about what it is. Reich's idea of 'orgone' is not recognised by mainstream science. We make orgonite as decorative art and as part of a living craft tradition, and we love it for its look, its symbolism and the care that goes into each pour.
Today the tradition is wonderfully varied: pyramids, towers, pendants, garden sculptures, and the tall copper cloudbusters that started our own workshop.
Our pieces are decorative art. We make no health, medical or weather claims. Orgonite is a craft tradition inspired by the ideas of Wilhelm Reich, which mainstream science does not recognise.
